Richard Wagner

Overture

A gradual progression of different shades of blue forms a stepped strip, creating a visually rhythmic cascade effect. Two shapes resembling boat hulls come together, each with a coloured cloth hanging over it.

1st act

Two shapes, which refer to the fuselage of a boat, encouter. On each shape hangs a coloured textile.

2nd & 3rd act

At the centre of the scene is a monumental structure, an assembly of folding surfaces that can be completely inverted. This unit consists of a main panel supported by two pivot points. Additional panels are attached to the main panel, each with its own pivot point. They are available in a range of colours and can be used individually or in combination. The colours chosen are in harmony with the overall atmosphere of the play.
